December 10, 2015 Resources: The Gospel; Cromwell; Homosexual Attraction; The Magnificent Seven
by Jonathan Hamilton
Might need some goggles for this one. Strong words, but true and needed ones. If you do not like strong opinions you will not like Douglas Wilson (he has written several follow-up articles to this second piece at dougwils.com). A gifted author (with whom I do not always agree….but often enough I do), Wilson has a witty and often stinging style. I gave you fair warning.
You may notice me branching out a bit in subject matter, as my own reading and interests grow. If church history is important (and it is), then certainly the broader category of plain ol’ history must be important as well. Here is a fascinating article on one figure whose name may be relatively well-known, though his life is not.
And a little culture to close things out, “The Magnificent Seven.”
You will notice over time that many of the articles on culture, conservatism, and tradition that are shared here have authors with Catholic sympathies. I trust you will discern and discard the bones.
